FAQs about Schuller Counseling in Dallas

  • No, I do not accept insurance. I can provide a superbill you may be able to submit to your insurance company to get some reimbursement for sessions.

  • Individual sessions (50 min) are $150. Double sessions (100 min) are $300. Group sessions (75 min) are $50.

  • I offer in-person sessions at the Dallas office (4040 N Central Expressway, Suite #670, 75204) and virtual sessions from anywhere in Texas. I am only licensed to see residents of Texas.

  • I can be reached via email at lauren@ schullercounseling.com. You may also call or text me at 214-506-8809.

  • I kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours notice if needing to cancel an appointment. Late cancels will be billed at full cost.

  • I work with adults, ages 18 to still breathing, who live in Texas. My clients are alcoholics, drug addicts, sex addicts, the highly traumatized, the young adult just figuring things out—and anyone else who wants to improve their mood, behavior, and overall quality of life.

  • I specialize in trauma and addiction (substance and process addictions, including sex addiction). I am currently an ASAT-Candidate working toward becoming a CSAT. This focus and training has prepared me to work with a wide variety of populations and disorders.

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for modifying thinking and behavior, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation, Patrick Carnes’ 30 Task Model for sex addiction, psychoanalytic therapy for insight and healthy relationships, and Brainspotting for trauma and performance. I take a holistic approach and combine talk therapy (to change your thinking) with somatic modalities (to heal your body and regulate your nervous system) so you achieve optimal results.

  • I’ve been told by clients that they feel very comfortable with me and find me easy to talk to. My clients would also say I honestly reflect back what I see (no sugar coating here) and help them feel their feelings. We get real and get to the root of things. I aim to make our time together productive, insightful, healing, and humanizing.

  • A clear roadmap to behavior change and sustained sobriety. Healing and deep trauma work to relieve you of nagging pain and anxiety. New ways of thinking to replace the old ways that no longer serve you. Compassion, empathy, and the perspective of a professionally trained third party. Coping skills that are practical and actually work to improve your mood and ability to function in life. Education and solutions for problems related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other mental health disorders.

Good faith Estimate

Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide clients who are uninsured or not using insurance with a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for services. Your Good Faith Estimate will outline the anticipated cost of therapy services and related fees so you can make informed decisions about your care. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services or at any time upon request. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may dispute the charge. For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, please visit CMS No Surprises Act Information.
